CAP's Holiday Gift

January 4th, 2011

I'm happy to announce that CAP's annual support from the New York State Council on the Arts has arrived! This means that very soon, we'll be able to announce the winners of all of our 2011 grant recipients from NYSCA supported grant programs, including Grants for Arts Programs, Artist in Community Grants, and Artist/Teacher Partnership grants.

A special thanks to all CAP supporters who've contacted their state legislators in the past year to encourage continued funding for the New York State Council on the Arts. Through the many programs that will be supported with our grants, we can all see just how valuable the arts are to this community and to the State as a whole. NYSCA accounts for a small sliver of the total state budget, but that sliver is important to preserve. Keep looking here in the ArtsLog for news on the upcoming budget discussions in Albany and how you can help New York keeps its reputation as a State of the Arts.

Happy New Year!

Brett Bossard, Executive Director
