Creating Opportunities for the Arts, Artists, and Audiences of Tompkins County
Beginning in 2007, CAP began pursuing New York State Council on the Arts funding to support a variety of services and programming for the literary artists in our county.
The position of Tompkins County Poet Laureate was established by the Tompkins County Legislature in 2001 to honor outstanding poets, integrate poetry into the community, enrich the education of our young people, and enhance the County's position as a cultural center.read more »
In Fall 2008, CAP worked together with the Tompkins County Public Library to conduct a needs survey of the writers, readers, and presenters in the multi-county region of the Finger Lakes. This report details the results.read more »
