I don't remember a time when I didn't draw and use color to experience peace, excitement, beauty, or comfort in my life. My parents encouraged this love, providing me with art lessons from an early age.

Art, however, was never viewed as a career possibility. I went to university and studied psychology, then audiology, eventually working in Los Angeles with the cochlear implant research project. When I came to Ithaca, I taught in the Communication Disorders Department at Ithaca College.

Three sons graced the lives of my husband Steve and me, leading me to the stage of full-time motherhood. Children's art supplies were a staple in our home and I marveled as my boys painted scenes from outer space to fireworks.

It wasn't until mothering became less of a full-time job that I returned to creating my own artwork. With the help of two encouraging local artists, c Renate Ferro-Murray and Camille Doucet, I gained some skills and confidence. My husband and boys were my faithful cheering section.

As painting has enhanced and extended many beautiful life experiences and accompanied me through tragedies of my adult life. I am forever grateful for this talent and hopeful that it will be my companion for years to come. I try to make my art accessible to all, yet retaining quality, by having giclee prints to sell, as well as my originals. I also make cards from my originals.
