"Paper Engineer" -Boy was I surprised when I first discovered that there was actually a name for what I do and also combined my artistic, engineering and marketing backgrounds.

I design, print, and assemble Custom Paper Pop-Up Cards, Pop-Up Books, and Paper Scale Models representing my clients' products, events, or services.

My custom paper designs have been used for Artistic Displays, Trade Show Displays, Sales Demonstrations, Architectural Design Presentations, Event Invitations, and Direct Mail Promotions.

Over the years, I have developed a series of Paper Model Kits called The Great Trains of the World which is being distributed internationally. In 1993, my Pop-Up Card of the new San Francisco Center for the Arts was used as an invitation to the grand opening by the S.F. Redevelopment Commission. In 2005, I was chosen as the Artist of the Year for Light in Winter and developed a Paper Model Kit of Leonardo Da Vinci's Aerial Screw for the event.

In my previous life as a VP of Marketing for an international computer company, we distributed 10,000 Pop-Up models. Five years later, I would visit customers and find the models still on their desks!!

My professional photography grew out of the need to photograph my own work. Over the years, my photo interests have expanded to show my love of nature and world travel. In my photos, I try to demonstrate the same dimensionality as my models and pop-ups by my creative use of both light and perspective.

I have degrees in both Engineering and Computer Systems from Cornell and SUNY Binghamton's School of Advanced Technology. Naturally all my paper engineering designs originate as computer graphics. These designs are computer generated in order to maintain accuracy and scale, to ease the iterative modification process, and minimize design time and cost.
