Fall Workshop Series

August 23rd, 2010

I'm excited about our upcoming Fall workshop series! When CAP set out to offer workshops a year ago, I really wanted to provide lots of technical information (i.e. how to use social networking, how to re-size images...). Those workshops have proved to be very popular and we've gotten a lot of great feedback.

This Fall, we are REALLY happy to add one-on-one consultations to our workshop series. Thanks to New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) for initiating the consultation program and providing intensive training to our consultants: Ben Altman, Carrie Chalmers and Allen C. Smith (Denny).

I hope tons of artists take advantage of being able to get advice on their portfolio presentations, artist statements, bios, websites and more.   I'll let you read all about it on our workshop page!

I also noticed that the Saltonstall Foundation offered workshops that centered more on creative art subjects (i.e. "A Caligraphic Approach to Drawing", "Setting as Source"...) and Judy at Saltonstall and I thought it would be mighty clever of us to list our workshops on each other's websites. See more about the Saltonstall workshops at www.saltonstall.org.

By the way, those of you who took Andy Gillis' CAP workshop on Digital Images may want to take Andy's 5-hour Saltonstall workshop. He'll be able to go into much more detail.

I hope you check out our consultations and our workshops.
