This program is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), celebrating 50 years of building strong, creative communities in New York State's 62 counties. The AICG grant is part of NYSCA's Decentralization program, along with our Grants for Arts Program Grant and our Arts Education grant. The Decentralization program is administered in Tompkins County by the Community Arts Partnership.
The Artist in Community Grant award is $2,500. We will know in October whether one or two awards will be available.
Artist in Community Grants support the creation of new work of Tompkins County artists whose interaction with communities is an integral part of their art-making.
The next round of funding will be for 2015 with applications due on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.
