I have always been in love with the creative process of expressing a vision through photographic imagery. From cut and paste collages as a child to my present method of crafting digitally, my work is a synthesis of my photographs and other images I create for a final piece that is a view of a moment in my imagination.
Flowers are a favorite target for my lens, and at some point I began to recognize the vibrant sensuality in my graceful petaled subjects, as well as their similarities to the human form. This visualization led to a series of digital collage that is a blend of blossoms and bodies, an exploration of nature's sensuous shapes, which I call Fleurotica. Florals also represent the emergence of life in birth and growth, which I depict in the Fleurogeny series, an array of babes in bloom.
The animal world, both domestic and wild, is also a fascinating photographic subject for me. With patience and persistence being key elements of each image, a satisfying final result can be a challenge. Those that are included in my captured critter collection I consider real treasures, and I call them Faunagraphs.
