As a self-taught photographer living in upstate New York, I'm fortunate to always be surrounded by inspiration. For as long as I can remember, nature and photography have intrigued and inspired me. While I'm particularly fascinated with water, I'm passionate about photographing all of nature, as well as street photography, portraiture and figurative work.

Although I now shoot digitally, I initially learned photography with black & white film, and recently have gone back to my roots working mainly in black & white. Because I'm interested in capturing the essence of the moment while engaging the viewer, I return several times to the same site in various weather conditions, experimenting with light, different points of view and composition. Currently, I'm exploring the art of street photography and the artistic handling of the human figure by focusing on light, shadow and form.

In 2010, I entered "Ducks In a Row" print in the 21st Annual juried SOAG Photography Contest (State of the Art Gallery, Ithaca, NY) and won the "People's Choice" Award.

My work is occasionally shown at various venues around Central NY, and is available for purchase at my website; The Crawl Space in Little York, NY; and Master Craft Frame shop, Ithaca, NY.
