Glen M. Sanders has been photographing for nine years and loves it every day. He is almost entirely self-taught. Glen was born and raised east of Cleveland, Ohio. Since that time California and Sicily have been home. He has lived in Tompkins County for the past three and a half years and currently resides in Groton, New York.
Landscapes and abstract views of nature have long proved Glen's most constant inspiration. More recently travel, street and people photography have peaked his interest. He has been blessed to travel far and has found some of his most cherished images close to home. He seeks to connect with the spirit of a place or the essence of an individual and tell their story. His artwork strives to translate truth and beauty and share these things with others. Glen hopes his unique perspectives will encourage others to see the everyday differently, perhaps more deeply. The genius of Minor White has exercised great influence on Glen M. Sanders. White's spiritually driven approach has informed Glen's artistic sensibilities.
Glen's artwork has been shown in California, Mexico, Sicily and New York in both solo and group exhibitions. He was awarded a Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County Artist Fellowship in 2011. (See Glen's resume in the left hand column on this page.)
