Flowers and gardening have always been central to my life. My family has been in the landscaping and florist business in Schenectady, N.Y. since the late 1800's. I grew up with the beauty and smells of flowers and developed a passion for gardens and gardening.
While living and working in Laos, I was first given a bouquet of lotus buds. I discovered lotus growing in Ithaca and obtained some for my pond. They have multiplied and provide ample subjects for my digital photography.
I take digital photos and adjust them with software to achieve abstract montages. The montages include my favorite flower, the lotus, as well as flowers from many gardens. They also include buildings and sculptures from domestic and overseas travels and from Cornell University. These montages include extractions and transparency studies.
I print my artwork on fine art paper with archival ink or have it printed on canvas and satin by other artists. Each image can be produced in many dimensions.
I am also on the Greater Ithaca Art Trail at www.ArtTrail.com
