I have been writing as long as I can remember. My first dated poems are from elementary school. Some of my earlier poetry was quite dark; now, my poetry is more wholesome.

In recent years I have written mostly "occasional" poetry; that is, verses to celebrate or to denigrate particular occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Sometimes I write just for fun, and sometimes I set myself a challenge, such as writing four lines every morning for a month on a specific topic. Some of my poems are serious but the best ones are usually a little snarky. There is seldom a profound meaning in my current verses; they are intended to amuse and entertain.
