I enjoy the discovery aspect of photography -- finding images that show Nature in a way that I and perhaps others have not seen or appreciated before such as "A Cornell Partial Eclipse". My photographs are taken on film (mostly), worked up digitally, printed with long-lasting pigmented inks, and are matted and framed at my home studio. Prints are made on paper, fine-art linen, canvas, or backlight film. I try to make my fine art photographs as affordable as possible by doing most of the work myself so that they may be enjoyed by as wide an audience as possible.
People viewing my work have commented: "That looks like a painting." When asked to explain the comment, one said, "Everything is in the right place," which I suppose means that the composition is pleasing to their eye. Others have commented favorably on the wide variety of subjects in my portfolio -- from birds, animals, landscapes, such as "Cayuga Lake Sunset", and flora to nearly abstract images such as "Painted Eucalyptus".
If you see one or more of my images that you want to brighten your wall or give as a gift, please contact me, and I will be happy to provide a quote or arrange a visit to my home studio.
